The Federal Building, located in downtown Grand Island, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 to recognize its architectural significance. Over the years the building has housed a post office and district courtrooms. In later years, the U.S. General Services Administration renovated the first floor into office space for federal agencies.
Most recently, the building is owned by Hall County. The need for modern and secure office space for the Child Support Offices was determined and construction began and was completed in 2017. Webb & Company Architects designed the new offices. ICMS Construction was the general contractor to renovate the offices within the guidelines of a building on the National Register.
