Architectural design services for the Palmer Child Care involved remodeling a former nursing home into a state-licensed child care facility. WCA coordinated with the owners, the Palmer Community Foundation, Inc., for the remodel and assembled a team with James Marshall, Mechanical Engineer and Toby Gay, Electrical Engineer. WCA designed a complete interior remodel to meet the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services child care licensing regulations. Palmer Child Care is licensed for 28 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
The General Contractor for the project was STS Construction of St. Paul, Neb. Construction started in summer of 2018.
